I Tried The “Crunette” Hair Trend For Spring
There’s nothing like a hair transformation to brighten up the season.
Spring offers the perfect opportunity to reset and refresh. This is why every year I use this season to clear my mind, clean my space, and get ready for warmer days ahead.
Unlike years before, I was also inspired by hair fatigue to get a mini-makeover that would elevate my signature style and give me a pop of color to accentuate my natural glow.
Before I went in for my appointment at NBeauty Inc. in Ardmore, PA, I scrolled my favorite social media pages for hair inspiration. Let’s just say I couldn’t get Megan Fox’s stunning transformation out of my head.
I had previously dyed my hair a metallic copper color for the Fall, so I figured the “crunette” hair color trend would be the perfect transitional color to step into the warmer season. With my inspirational photos in hand, I showed my hairstylist Naeemah Johnson with photos for reference.
What is Crunette hair?
If you haven’t heard, Crunette hair is the ideal combination of copper and brunette, which has been seen on celebrities including Victoria Monet, Justine Skye, and Kendall Jenner.
The Crunette transformation process
I was ecstatic when I walked into the establishment because it was my first appointment in months. I immediately showed my stylist a photo of Fox’s fiery hair transformation, which she assured me she could help me achieve. (Spoiler Alert: It came out fabulously!)
She affirmed to me that Crunette is a trendy shade that’s set to rise in popularity this Spring and Summer because of its perfect blend of cool brown and warm copper tones. “The color almost reflects a beautiful Summer sunset,” Johnson shared.
She continued, “Crunette hair gives off a deeply saturated rich, shiny, dramatic look without being over-the-top. It’s certainly gorgeous for a hair transformation.”
The results
I was extremely happy with my results! The color really suited my skin and brought out my features. For example, I noticed the hue beautifully complimented the richness of my chocolate brown eyes.
My hairstylist agreed. She noted, “Your youthful and playful cut paired with the color selection gives you a very classic beauty look. Flirty, yet sophisticated.”
As far as maintenance, I found that the color has been low-maintenance and doesn’t fade swiftly. I love the ability to be on trend without any hassle. This is why I highly suggest trying the Crunette trend if you’re looking for a color change that will get you plenty of compliments and brighten up your look this Spring.
